Our favorite short trip- 吃豆花

24mar 13- Trail at Tampines!

The night before, TYL help me to change from my road tyres to off road ones. Already past midnight.. But still have to complete the task before going to slp.. Thankew hubby.

Think we slp ard 2am in the morning..

6.30am wakie to prepare..

Bikes ready to roll~

Plan to meet Jon and Aipeng downstairs at 7.15am to setup the bicycle stand onto the their cars and reach Tampines at 8am. In the end all went down ard 7.30am bah.

Martin call in the morning says he joining too.

Took a very long time placing the stand to the car.. Thanks Martin for offering to swap the bikes to transport over.

Martin foldable bike into Camry boot.

Jon’s RX8 use the stand and carry 2 bicycles. Zai..

i think we manage to leave PEAK ard 8.45am..

I’ve stay in Tampines for 20 over years.. But I didn’t know this trail exist.. Quite excited for the little adventure~

When we arrived at the Tampines Bike Park, we were told to sign in (I sign for 5 pax) and also must have helmet, else we’re not allow to enter.

Many cars were there too.

Finally all ready and glad is a sunny day! Thanks Jon for the 50 SPF sunblock.

Green line suitable for beginners. Blue line for the challengers. We start with the green one. Hee..

Very hot and sunny day. Up Slope everywhere.. Very shag..
Actually the area is quite small.. But Aipeng and me are tired already.

The guys went to challenge the blue line.. While Aipeng and me went over to rest under a tree..

They’re having fun at the blue line..

I thought this trip has ended after their blue line challenge.. But they came back saying can access other place outside
(O_O)

Off to Tampines Mountain Biking Trail




Lots of trees. Much cooler than the bike park.

Many butterflies and flowers in the little forest too~

There’s a very sandy area where i can’t control well.. Can easily lost control there.
There’s also an area very muddy de.. I didn’t ride over, I push the bicycle at the extreme side to avoid the mud..

Yap. Had fun exploring the parks~ feel so healthy after the exercise! Keke. I must have efficiently burn some fats!!

Home.. Noticed I have lots of blue black on my legs.. (~_~;)

20mar 13- 骑脚车日记

Many ppl ask me where I cycle to.. But I always unable to answer them coz I’m a 路痴.. I just follow the person infront all the way..

In order to answer ppl next time.. I downloaded this apps ‘Runkeeper’

In this cycle trip…
When approaching a bus stop full of people, we choose to move to the road. In doing the action on stepping down directly, my water bottle drop off infront of the bus stop. I jam brake, get down and push my bike over to get it..
Saw the bus has stopped at the red traffic light and will approach soon, felt very Gan zhiong and ma lu at that moment ..

Chris lent me his Velcro to tighten the bottle. Thanks Chris ~

My result..

Yap as usual.. Cycling with Chris, Tasha and TYL, I’m the slowest one still. Hee.
Everytime on road I try to ride in between the 2 yellow lines (advise by Alvin coz my previous trip, I was trying to ride on the left yellow line and always drop out of the road and also hit the kerb) .. Now got improvement on this Liao.

13mar 13- my 1st ride after accessories included!

1st ride was on 9 mar.
Today is my 1st ride with my new helmet, new gloves, new bottle holder, new head light, new back light, new pedals, new tyres and new shoes!
Hmm.. I need another new water bottle.

Completed look~! But cycling with Tasha, Martin and TYL, I’m the slowest still! Haha.

About my new Kar

TYL found my little red bike spec . Told him that’s not the same bike as the pic is showing a different frame. My top frame is not straight de..

He helps to search webbie again and found out that it is due to the size. Size S and XS will have this curved top tube for GT Avalanche bikes.

10Mar 13- more Kar accessorizes~

Earlier saw this Mickey Mouse helmet at Pedal Pro LLP. Really like it but I don’t really remember if I’ve tried it.

So went there and tried it on. Hmm.. Kinna loose for me.. Only has free size, so just too bad for me lo. Aipeng wanted a pink one but don’t have also..

Then we go over to Bikeplus and saw a nice black and red design helmet at $129. Size S can fit my head well. Hmm.. But too costly for me…

Later noon, we went to Rodalink @ tradehub21 to continue my reach for a helmet. The cheapest one I saw cost $62. Doesn’t have a nice one for me… The better looking ones cost ＞$100.

We didn’t buy anything but TYL help Jon bought this＞＞

$45.

Last stop.. Hin Leong Cycle @ TPY.

Ask her on helmet and she mention they have a range from $30 to $200+. So I ask to view the $30 one 1st.

Next check on gloves coz scare I fell without protection on my hands..

Told her my bike bought yesterday and she continue to take out more accessories to see I we’re interested..

All except the seat clamps are bought. The clamps are pink instead of red, I’m not interested. Original black ones are nicer.

Total spent $180(after discount) the accessories cost more than my pinkie sia…

They give us this for free ＞

They say usually the bike sellers will give this to customers that has bought bikes that has quick release wheel feature. (I not sure where exactly to use this thing..and also donno what is the purpose.. TYL knows bah)
though we didn’t purchase bikes from them, they still give one to us.

Finally little red bike is home again to meet 小小黑..

Will intro the parts in next post.. Coz need lots explanation from TYL..

9mar 13 – My new Kar ;D

All ladies upgrade their foldies to mountain bikes.. Having my pinkie … i not joining their rides le.. Too shag and can’t catch up..
Have been looking for a suitable one since the past 2 weeks.

Meet Jon and Aipeng at TAY CYCLE (Tampines) but didn’t manage to get one. Aipeng likes a ~$1.8k bike there but to be on hold 1st.

Hmm.. I like a $1999 black & gold colour bike there but I don like the price. I’m aiming for a bike ~$500, TYL budget for me ~$800.

Next we went over to Kian Hong Cycle. There’s few bikes that caught her attention but none of them I’m interested in.

While they are making decision, TYL and me when over to TAY JUNCTION (Vertex). Hmm.. Within budget and I like ones don’t have my size. Within budget and my size ones not really to my liking.

Finally found this..but didn’t fit all requirement.. Is over budget but I like and also suitable for my size~!

Yeah~ love love love~

quite unexpectedly we both manage to grab a bike at Ubi.

She change to pink pedals and also bought a pink bottle holder. Swee~

Lucky both our hubbies drove there, else donno how to load the bikes in..

Had our 1st ride at ~10.30pm. Tpy to old upper Thomson and back Tpy.

Back home.. TYL was buzy the night adjusting the pole to add in the new Kar . Kinna shag out after cycling, will continue to intro my new toy another day.

Will look out for a suitable helmet next!

14Feb 13 – vday~

Took half day~
Hmm.. Late lunch at @tampines one and dinner is mummy’s cook food.

Hmm.. We never plan anything so just another normal day bah.

He got himself 小黑 recently and he went to look around for another one already..(below pic is the 2nd shop visited today)

＞Learning how to remove and fix back the back wheel..

Finally he settled himself with 小小黑 today..

We end our vday having Yummy ice cream with peakians @ creamier..

25jan 13- cycle cycle

Think should be my 3rd time cycling with the peakians. TYL cycle many more times than me le.. They very onz~

Now everyone equip with helmets le.

Many of them not inside the pics..
Maybe ask the peak cycle club to take a pic during noon time next time.

28Dec 12- Our 1st ride!

Participants: Chris + Tasha + Ryan + Fang + TYL & me.

My legs were already very ‘suan’ before I manage to reach the park..

Took a break at Mac. All ordered drinks only except TYL. He ordered nuggets meal there~~ my plan is to lose fat, not gain them~~ in the end I eat some fries too.

On the way back and we manage to reach home ard 1am. 🙂
Tired but I’ve enjoy the ride with the group~~ hee
